The LED in this magnifier is powered by two AA batteries (not included) and can also be used continuously by connecting a USB Type-C cable (not included). The LED will automatically turn off after 30 minutes to conserve battery life when using batteries. For safety, power will not be transmitted to the installed batteries when running the magnifier through the USB-C port.
