Clip Cages

Clip cages are ventilated, weather-resistant, and extremely lightweight containers that enable researchers to experiment with insects inhabiting plant leaves or buds.  They are commonly used in agricultural pest management, insect ecology, and entomological behavioral studies.  For instance, they are used to investigate how different insecticides or biological control methods affect insects, as well as to observe insect growth and reproduction under various environmental conditions, such as changes in temperature or humidity.
